Yes! I think it’s gone way too far. I agree that respect for others is crucial, but cancel culture has taken it too far. Disagreements are natural, and there should be room for multiple viewpoints. People learn from their mistakes, but punishing them by taking away their livelihoods or public visibility won’t help. It will only get the cancelled person angrier and resentful. I’d rather focus on teaching and compromising than shaming people and hoping they disappear from view.
sophia9081ParticipantI’m not sure if Americans are eating too much chocolate anymore. I feel like today’s youth and the generation below mine are more health conscientious. When I was younger my parents stocked our pantry with tons of junk food, chocolate and other stuff. When I had kids, I tried my best to phase some of that junk food out, but it was hard. My kids though seem to have so many different healthier options than I did. There are so many different grocery stores and so many more choices. I offered my grandkids McDonald’s and they actually turned me down!
